For christ sake don't call him Chris

This week’s edition of Friday Fun rewinds to 1994 and an interview between American football star Jim Everett and Talk 2 presenter Jim Rome.

In the years prior to this interview Everett had gained a reputation in the NFL for avoiding big hits and was even criticised for shying away from ‘sacks’.

Jim Rome was particularly critical of the quarererback and had taken to calling him ‘Chris Everett’ in reference to the female tennis player.

When Everett appeared on the show, Rome called him ‘Chris’ twice in the first 10 seconds of the broadcast. An irritated Everett warned him not to do so again, but Rome couldn’t resist and the former NFL ace erupted live on air by overturning the table and knocking the presenter to the floor.
