An artist's impression of Meier

We’ve searched high and low for the answer and arrived at what can only be described as a surreal game between German sides Duisburg and Cologne in December 2005.

With five minutes remaining and the game level at 1-1, Cologne player Albert Streit goes to collect the ball that has gone into touch. It’s at this point that Duisburg’s coach Norbert Meier, who is standing at the sidelines, says something to Streit which results in the two squaring up to each other.

Meier moves his head towards Streit, before throwing his arms up in the air and taking a tumble that a young Jurgen Klinsman would have only been to proud of in his heyday.

The ref sends Streit off for the headbutt on the coach, but from a different camera Meier is shown up to be a cheating scumbag. The Duisburg board promptly sacks Meier for the offence.
