Who said they couldn't play together?

In the past watching England has been a bit like doing DIY. Not an enjoyable affair, but a job that has to be done. On occasions the job in hand hasn’t always been a pretty one and there have been times when we haven’t had a full set of tools to work with, as well as been deserted without an instruction guide to get the thing of the floor.

Then a man called Fabio Capello came along. A man not afraid to re-write the instruction guide. A man who was willing to put round pegs into square holes and do it his way, even if it seemed mildly foolish to begin with.

However, 8 wins out of 8 tell their own story and have seen Capello’s England reach the promised land of South Africa and the 2010 World Cup with two qualifying games to spare.
