Man City, QPR and Chelsea are owned by some of the wealthiest alive.
Manchester City sit top of the pile in the football club owners rich list, closely followed by West London rivals QPR and Chelsea. Elsewhere, Tottenham fans have bragging rights over Arsenal, while Cheltenham Town supporters can take some solace in the knowledge that the men in charge at Whaddon Road have more cash than at Anfield.
The combined wealth of those on the list is now £61bn, compared with £41.7bn last year and £20.45bn when Four Four Two magazine first compiled the list in 2003. The billions that have poured into the top end of English football over the past 15 years, mainly as a result of a series of record-breaking TV rights deals, are also reflected in the riches amassed by the most valuable players of that era.
But many observers are predicting that the economic slump will catch up with football soon, with the number of clubs openly up for sale and having difficulty finding a buyer – Tottenham, Portsmouth and West Ham among them – seen as evidence that enthusiasm among overseas investors for owning a Premier League club has collapsed.

Roger Daltrey is not the only one guilty of chirping “Who are you? Who, who, who, who?. Oh no sports fan, HeavenSports has also been actively asking the profound question. Unlike Daltrey, the answer comes in the shape of our Which Premier League football team are YOU? survey!
We have a saying in Spanish, which is: ‘White liquid in a bottle has to be milk’. What does this mean? It means that after 86 points and finishing second in the league, what changed? So, white liquid in a bottle: milk. You will know who is to blame.
