More than 20,000 Dallas Cowboys fans turned out to witness the demolition of Texas Stadium at the weekend. The legendary sports ground was brought to its knees courtesy of a ton of dynamite that blew the stadium to smithereens.
The NFL team vacated Texas Stadium in favour of the new $1.2 billion Cowboys Stadium after the 2008 season. The land, which once occupied the great Texas Stadium, is planned to be used as a staging area for a highway construction project.
The demolition of the Cowboys’ former home has proved a hit on YouTube with hundreds of video clips being uploaded to the site. For those of you who haven’t yet seen the stadium been reduced to a giant pile of dust, here it is….
