Valentine’s Day proposal at NY Rangers vs Tampa Bay goes horribly wrong
The marriage proposal at MSG
New York Rangers fan Nick had the novel / romantic / stupid (delete where you see fit) idea to ask the love of his life if she would marry him at Madison Square Garden yesterday.
During a break in play in the Rangers’ NHL clash with Tampa Bay the following message was beamed on the giant screen for all to see:
MELISSA
WILL YOU BE MY BLUESHIRT BRIDE?
LOVE, NICK
The proposal went down like a lead balloon, with Melissa storming out of MSG and Nick following close behind with what looked like a tail between his legs.
Let this be warning to sports fans everywhere.
