The worst darts player in the world?
I have a theory about darts. If I was to quit my job and spend 8 hours a day honing my arrears skills, I believe I would be good enough to compete against some of the best players in the world in 12 months.
The only conceivable glitch in my masterplan is that I’m not sure if I would have the bottle to produce the goods in front of an expectant crowd watching on TV and 2,000 lager louts at a venue like Lakeside or Ally Pally.
One thing I do know for certain is that I would at least fare better than a certain Anthony Fleet, who was an utter embarrassment at Lakeside this week.
The Aussie faced Martin Adams in the first round of the BDO World Championship this week and crumbled like a biscuit in what will go down as the worst leg of darts ever witnessed.
