Not content with sporting an offensive looking moustache, South Africa rugby boss Peter de Villiers has once again proved just how out of depth he is at managing a national rugby team.

The Springboks coach leapt to the defence of the indefensible last weekend, when he claimed that Schalk Burger’s eye-gouging incident was part and parcel of rugby.

Although he has somewhat retracted on these rather foolish comments, presumably after coming under pressure to do so by the South African Rugby Union (Saru), de Villiers has somewhat of a track record of speaking utter nonsense.

“So guys who can’t take it, make your decision. Why don’t we go to the nearest ballet shop, get some nice tutus, get a great dancing show going, no eye-gouging, no tackling… and all enjoy it.” – Said this week in regards to the Burger eye-gouching shenanigans.
