Federer and Nadal play on floating court in Qatar
Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal kicked off the 2011 ATP World Tour in unusual fashion at the weekend by playing on a floating tennis court in Doha Bay Sunday.
The pair, promoting the start of a new tennis season as well as the first tournament of the year, the Qatar Open, exchanged rallies on perhaps the most unique tennis court in the world.
It’s not the first time they have played at a strange venue, with the tennis duo previously showcasing their skills in a bizarre King of Clay vs King of Grass match in 2007.
Whatever next? Tennis on the moon. Hold that thought…
Why didn’t they have the court on barrells so it wasn’t actually wet?
